Using a personal injury lawyer client as an example, I'll show you the exact process that delivers 50% better results than traditional appointment setters.
Step 1: Discovery Question
As soon as a lead comes in, we reach out with a simple, casual discovery question designed to draw out interest and get the user to qualify themselves.
For our personal injury client: "I had in my notes that you reached out about an injury/illness. Just wanted to check if you're still interested in seeing what you might be entitled to. We work on a no-fee basis."
This gives them a compelling reason to respond and makes it super easy to say yes.
Step 2: Value-Added Follow-Up
If we don't get a response, our AI follows up exactly 48 hours later with a value-added message: "Hi Bob, just circling back. I thought I'd share that we recently helped a 57-year-old engineer from WA with a neurological condition..."
This is crucial. With human sales agents, there are lots of incoming leads to deal with. People don't have time to systematically personalise every conversation at a programmatic scale. They get emotional, and their follow-ups become inconsistent.
By providing value in the follow-up, you don't feel needy—and the client feels more willing to respond.
Step 3: Qualification
Every business has their own qualification criteria. We make sure leads pass this criteria before booking them in.
In this case: "Can I ask—have you been off work for the last three months or more due to injury or illness?"
If they hadn't passed this step, we would never have booked them in. This ensures your sales team only speaks with qualified prospects.
Step 4: Value-Add and Close
We tie their pain point to the solution: "Based on what you've shared, if I could help you uncover what you might be entitled to, would it make sense to chat further?"
I like to call this a "dumb question"—of course the answer is yes. Then: "Would mornings or afternoons usually work best for a quick call?"
The AI looks at the calendar and books them in automatically.
